    1. SO true! I’ve been looking at my own assumptions I make about myself and other people. I feel like I, and many other people too, get so attached to past experiences and looking for evidence in present circumstances to prove the same things are happening over again. This is a natural part of being human… it’s used to protect us (we got burned by the fire once, then we knew not to touch it) but it isn’t always helpful in everyday life anymore. Especially when it comes to love towards ourselves, relationships, friendships… letting go of assumptions helps us to be less judgmental and instead more appreciative of everyone’s own path. Goodreads has the daily quote email, and that is where I got this! Hope you’re having a good day!

      1. Awesome. I took a CBT class in school and learned to question my assumptions then. Now I do the best I can, but sometimes I don’t even realize when I’ve made an assumption. I saw you outside of your house this morning! I hope you have a good week off ☺
